This online workshop aimed at TY Coordinators, explored how to refresh your TY Programme.  The workshop explored how to identity where a programme needs development and how to monitor new developments within the programme.  Please find the recording of the presentation.

Over the first three weeks of September 2020 the PDST TY Team hosted three webinars for coordinators and teachers of TY. It was great to get the chance to explore the implications of the TY guidance document for coordinators' practice, to discuss the challenges faced by all coordinators and to hear about the approaches being used by different schools to ensure students experience a quality TY programme.

The TY Picnic

Our fourth webinar took place over the last week of November 2020 and first week of December 2020. The webinar focused on ways in which momentum can be maintained during Transition Year - especially given the unique circumstances of the current times - and on approaches to assessment. The webinar was well attended and teachers discussed the may ways in which they have adapted to ensure a quality Transition-Year experience for their students. Our fifth webinar took place over late February and early March 2021. The webinar focused on four areas: making the transition to Leaving Cert., reflecting on and celebrating learning in TY. end of year assessment and programme evaluation. The webinar was well attended and teachers discussed the may ways in which they approach these issues within their own school contexts. You will find all the resources used on the night here.

Our sixth webinar took place over three evenings in March and April 2021. The webinar focused on key areas in planning for TY 2021-2022 including what research says about the TY experience, deadlines for planning next year's programme, planning your programme timetable and effective budgeting. Attending teachers discussed the may ways in which they approach these issues within their own school contexts.  You will find a recording of the presentation and the padlets used on the night here.
