Get involved in Safer Internet Day this February 8th!



Safer Internet Day takes place on Tuesday, February 8 th and is a brilliant time for schools to promote safer, better internet use. Here are 5 simple ways to get Involved from Webwise.



1. Order FREE wristbands for your school


The free colourful Safer Internet Day wristbands are a great addition to SID celebrations. To order wristbands for your participants just share your plans for marking Safer Internet Day on


2. FREE education resources


Videos and lessons Safer Internet Day is a great time to explore online safety topics with your students. Webwise has FREE resources, lessons and presentations for Primary and Post-Primary. They address a range of key topics including  such as cyberbullying, privacy, social media, image-sharing, consent, misinformation and more. These resources can be accessed for free on and free hard copies are also
available to order.


3. Scripted Safer Internet Day Presentations


The free ready-made Safer Internet Day Presentations have a full script and notes, videos, and activities. These include Primary school presentations for use with 1st and 2nd class, 3rd and 4th class, and 5th and 6th class.
