MathsMeet 2022
MathsMeet 2022 takes place this Saturday, October 22 in Maynooth University.
MathsMeet 2022 is a conference for all those with an interest in the teaching of Post-Primary Mathematics and is jointly organised by the PDST, JCT and the IMTA. Over 400 teachers are expected to attend a day packed with learning.
The keynote address will be provided by Ed Southall, author of five books on teaching and learning of Maths, including “Yes But Why? – Teaching for Understanding in Mathematics”. Andrew Jeffrey will speak about helping students find the magic in Maths. The conference will conclude with an address by the Department of Education Inspectorate.
If you’re attending the conference, tweet about your experience using #mathsmeet22. You’ll find further information at www.mathsmeet.com. After two years of meeting online, the conference will be a welcome opportunity for teachers to reconnect with each other, to learn, chat and have fun!
MathsMeet 2022 is timed to coincide with the launch of Maths Week – a brilliant initiative which promotes students, teachers and parents engaging with the power and creativity of Maths. Find a list of all the events organised for Maths Week and sign up your school to participate in scavenger hunts, activities and talks – all at www.mathsweek.ie.
