PDST YOUNG ECONOMIST(S) OF THE YEAR 2020

It's that time of year again! The PDST, in association with the Irish Economics Association (IEA), Maynooth University, NUI Galway, UCD, UCC, Trinity College, Limerick University, the Central Bank of Ireland, the Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service (IGEES), the Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment, the BSTAI, Science Foundation Ireland, the Ubuntu Network and Laois Education Centre are delighted to announce the launch of Young Economist(s) of the Year 2020 - YEOTY 2020.

 

All entries must refer to at least one www.globalgoals.org/

 

This year, an inquiry-based approach by students will continue to be promoted. While students are encouraged to integrate the use of digital technologies into their presentations the emphasis is on the quality of the investigation and economic analysis. Creativity is also very much encouraged and entries will be accepted in a variety of forms such as a essay, report, short video/documentary, powerpoint, prezi, animation, mind-map, visual presentation, poem, rap etc.

 

The Awards will be held in the O’Reilly Hall, University College Dublin on Thursday April 30th 2020. All students will receive a certificate of participation and prizes will include – Central Bank of Ireland award, IGEES award, PDST YEOTY awards and the selection of a team to represent Ireland in the International Economics Olympiad https://ecolymp.org/
