Welcome to the SCHOOLSELF EVALUATION (Post Primary) section of the PDST Website. 

PDST continues to support schools in engaging with the school self-evaluation process facilitating national seminars and workshops, local CPD events through the Education Centre Network school clusters and in-school support.

This support will be tailored to meet the needs of your school and agreed through initial conversations and consultations with senior management and/or members of staff.

 

School Self- Evaluation: Seminars for Newly Appointed Principals and Deputy Principals

Please find attached details of an upcoming seminar for Newly Appointed School Leaders.

This seminar is designed for Principals and Deputy Principals newly appointed to their role since September 2017. It will

  • revisit your understanding of the SSE process and provide an opportunity to reflect on your school’s experience of school improvement and the school self-evaluation process to date. There will be an opportunity here for participants to learn from and share experiences with colleagues.
  • provide an opportunity for participants to engage with the revised SSE guidelines 2016 - 2020
  • explore the SSE process from data gathering to the implementation and monitoring of a school improvement plan
